Description
Our client, a respected player in the Canadian food manufacturing sector, is seeking an accomplished Regional Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations across multiple sites within Hamilton and the GTA. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will oversee a team of HR Business Partners and play a critical role in harmonizing HR practices across the region. This position offers the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of HR while staying grounded in day-to-day people operations.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate well-rounded HR leadership in a multi-site environment, with a progressive career foundation in Labor Relations, Employee Engagement, and Regulatory Compliance. They will provide expert counsel to site managers, facilitate conflict resolution and investigations, and ensure consistent application of Employment Law and company policies. A central part of this role includes leading Employee Relationship Committees and acting as a trusted advisor during sensitive workplace matters, helping to maintain a fair and respectful work culture.
This is a highly visible and hands-on role for a dynamic individual who brings strong analytical skills and leadership capabilities. In addition to overseeing talent acquisition for management-level positions and analyzing compensation competitiveness, the role also entails driving communication and employee engagement efforts, including the coordination of local events and CSR initiatives. The position calls for someone who can translate HR data into actionable insight and is energized by influencing both policy and culture.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline as well as possess progressive HR experiences, including experience in a regional or multi-location leadership capacity. Proficiency in HRIS Systems, talent management platforms, and a track record of data-driven decision-making are essential. This role demands a confident communicator who is equally comfortable at the strategic table and on the production floor, and who is willing and able to travel within the region for onsite support five days a week.
