Description Kitchener Executive Consultants has partnered with this well-established and growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead and strengthen its Safety and Environmental programs. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting to the Operations Director and serving as a key driver of safety culture, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability across the plant and business.

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager plays a vital role within operations and is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety management system. The successful candidate will lead employee safety engagement initiatives, oversee safety metrics and reporting, manage incident investigations and corrective actions, and ensure adherence to all provincial and federal safety and environmental regulations. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert on Ontario and Canadian safety standards, act as a regulatory liaison, and provide leadership during emergencies and special projects.

The role requires strong collaboration across departments to promote a culture centered on injury prevention and operational excellence. Responsibilities include conducting environmental and safety audits, leading sustainability reporting initiatives, managing environmental permits and compliance inspections, facilitating safety training, maintaining documentation and reporting systems, and ensuring completion of corrective actions within the incident reporting framework. The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will also provide hands-on leadership in safety inspections, equipment assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to elevate workplace safety standards.

The ideal candidate brings post-secondary education in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams. The successful candidate demonstrates high ethical standards, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.



Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $115 000 - $125 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
