Description
Kitchener Executive Consultants is conducting a search for an experienced Process Engineering Manager on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organization in the Greater Toronto Area. The Process Engineering Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership to both the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance teams, with overall responsibility for optimizing, standardizing, and scaling production processes. This Leader ensures manufacturing operations are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with quality and operational objectives, while also overseeing building and property maintenance functions.
The successful candidate will lead the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, ensuring performance targets for safety, throughput, quality, and cost are consistently achieved. Through the use of analytics, statistical process control, and structured problem-solving methodologies, the Process Engineering Manager will monitor process performance, drive measurable improvements in overall equipment effectiveness, reduce scrap and cycle times, and implement standardized work and process controls. Our ideal candidate will champion Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives, conduct workflow studies and capacity modeling, and lead root-cause investigations using structured tools such as 8D, DMAIC, and Fishbone analysis.
As a people leader, the Process Engineering Manager will mentor and develop a team of maintenance technicians and process/manufacturing engineers, set clear priorities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely execution of engineering deliverables and capital projects. The role will require close collaboration with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development to support new product introductions and ensure regulatory, customer, and internal compliance standards are achieved. The Process Engineering Manager will also oversee procurement, justification, and commissioning of major manufacturing equipment, providing strong vendor management and capital budget oversight.
Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. A strong foundation in Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies will be essential, as is experience with CAD tools, process simulation, and data-driven decision-making.
Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $130 000 - $150 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
