Description With more than 25 years of stability and growth, a Tier 2/3 automotive manufacturer of intricate, high-precision components is expanding its product portfolio through new program launches and continuous evolution of existing products. To support this effort, our Client is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical owner for customer programs throughout their full lifecycle.

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Applications Engineer will be responsible for guiding programs from early feasibility through production and ongoing improvement. Additional responsibilities of this role include capability and capacity analysis, design concept development, and cost estimation. For awarded programs, the Applications Engineer will lead tooling and process development and manage all launch requirements, including PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP, through successful start of production. Once in production, the Applications Engineer then maintains program ownership, supporting engineering changes, customer-driven modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives related to cost, quality, and performance.

As a customer-facing position, strong communication skills will be essential, along with the ability to interface effectively across internal functions such as manufacturing, quality, sales, and purchasing. Our ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of engineering experience in the automotive parts industry, with exposure to both new product introduction and in-production support. Accomplished CAD skills are required, preferably in SolidWorks, along with the flexibility to manage broad responsibilities across multiple programs. Prior experience with injection molding will be considered a strong asset by our Client.

Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $75 000 - $90 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
