Description Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. is conducting a search for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator on behalf of a well-established and highly respected Canadian manufacturing organization. This opportunity is ideal for a Health and Safety Professional who is passionate about creating and sustaining a culture where safety is a core organizational value and operational excellence is supported through proactive risk management, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety leadership team, the Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator will play a key role in implementing, administering, and enhancing health, safety, and environmental programs within a complex manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted resource to employees, supervisors, and management while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.

This role is responsible for coordinating safety orientation and training programs, administering health and safety initiatives, supporting environmental compliance activities, and maintaining accurate reporting systems for incidents, investigations, and performance metrics. The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator will collaborate closely with operational leaders to investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of preventative measures. This role also provides administrative and technical support to the Joint Health and Safety Committee and contributes to the ongoing development and maintenance of environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.

Our ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree supplemented by specialized Health and Safety training and a minimum of 3 years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience managing workplace injury claims, return-to-work programs, and regulatory compliance requirements is essential. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and management systems is required. Professional certifications such as JHSC Certification, CRSP designation, or progress toward designation will be considered strong assets.


Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $65 000 - $75 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
