Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established industrial manufacturer seeking a Health, Safety & Compliance Specialist to join the operations team in Alberta. This is an opportunity for a safety professional to influence workplace culture, support operational excellence, and contribute to the ongoing development of a best-in-class safety management program.
In this role, the Health & Safety Specialist will partner with operational leaders and employees to identify workplace hazards, evaluate risks, investigate trends, and implement proactive safety initiatives. This role will assist with audits, inspections, training programs, incident prevention strategies, and regulatory compliance activities while helping ensure adherence to provincial and federal safety requirements. The Health & Safety Specialist will also play a key role in analyzing safety performance data, supporting continuous improvement projects, and promoting employee engagement in health and safety programs.
Our ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline, coupled with several years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, processing, or heavy equipment environment. A solid understanding of Canadian Health and Safety legislation, risk management principles, and safety management systems is required. Professional certifications such as CRSP, CSP, NCSO, or CIH are considered valuable assets. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, will be essential for success in this role.
Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $90 000 - $110 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
