Description Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. is conducting an exclusive search on behalf of a highly respected manufacturing organization in their search for an experienced Production Planner. This is a highly visible role within the organization that will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, operational performance, inventory management, and manufacturing efficiency. The Production Planner will become the central point for production scheduling working across Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Engineering, and Quality to ensure customer commitments are achieved while maximizing the utilization of manufacturing resources. This role will be responsible for owning the production schedule within a very busy manufacturing environment while leveraging Microsoft NAV and Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) tools to balance customer priorities, machine capacity, labour availability, and material constraints.

The Production Planner will develop and maintain finite production schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis while continually adjusting priorities in response to customer demand, equipment availability, staffing changes, quality concerns, and material shortages. The Production Planner will administer scheduling activities within the NAV ERP and APS software, maintain accurate production data, support long-term capacity planning, identify manufacturing bottlenecks, and recommend improvements that increase throughput and machine utilization. This role requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, leading daily scheduling meetings, monitoring schedule adherence, collaborating closely with production leadership, and driving improvements that enhance schedule stability and customer delivery performance.

Our ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of production planning or scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment and have demonstrated hands-on expertise with Microsoft NAV, or what's now, Business Central. A strong understanding of MRP, finite capacity scheduling, manufacturing routings, Bills of Material, work centers, and shop floor data collection is essential. Candidates should be highly analytical with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and experience managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
