Maintenance Manager

Description Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and drive equipment reliability, operational uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager will oversee a team of skilled maintenance professionals and provide leadership across multiple shifts, playing a critical role in supporting production goals by ensuring equipment and facility systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for directing all maintenance activities, including preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, facilities maintenance, contractor management, and capital project support across 2 facilities. The Maintenance Manager will prioritize and manage work orders, lead root cause investigations, minimize unplanned downtime, and collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to maximize equipment availability and plant performance. This position also includes developing maintenance best practices, monitoring key performance indicators, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, along with strong technical expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment. Experience leading maintenance teams, managing preventive maintenance systems, and supporting automated production environments is essential in addition to a trade certification in an electrical, millwright, mechanical, or related discipline is preferred. We are searching for a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record of driving reliability, team performance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
